It's almost time for school! Time for the yearly trip back to Diagon Alley. New books, potion ingredients, and robe fittings? Absolutely. First years? Go get your wands. More importantly, now's the time to catch up with old friends and see how they've been over the summer.

If it's your first time to Diagon Alley, maybe you can catch someone heading in to show you the way? Don't worry, there's always a helpful witch or wizard about to guide the Muggleborns to the right location if they get a little lost!

[Back-to-school shopping is very exciting, but sometimes you need a break, in this case a break for something sweet. Eep is sitting outside, her ice cream cone already devoured and the remnants all over her face. For the moment, she's just leaning back and enjoying as much sun as she can get.]

..Um? Ma'am, I think you've got something on your face.

[Is it rude to stare?]

Oh. [She wipes her face on her sleeve, then smiles at Dean.] Hey.

H-hey, yourself! [He smiles, trying to shake off the awkwardness. It always takes a little while to get used to socializing, again..]

So.. How was your summer?

Ugh. It was so boring. I thought I would die. What about yours?

Kinda the same. [Just.. a few extra moments where he thought he would die, is all.]

I really missed school. And magic!

Me, too. It stinks that we can't do it at home.

[Once he's made sure her dad's nowhere near the vicinity, Guy tilts his head as he leans over her, poking her chin.]

You got a little something on your face there, Eep.

[There's a familiar face she's particularly glad to see.]

[He raises an eyebrow. He can't really argue with that, considering how many years he spent living with sloths. He plops himself down in the seat opposite her once he knows Grug is nowhere nearby, always careful not to make Belt hit anything even as he leans back with a shrug.]

Same old. Spent most of it in my old man's garage tinkering around. How about you?

Did you make new things? [She likes when Guy makes things. They're always so cool.]

Same as every Summer. I had to stay home and just... Wait.
