A New School Year [OPEN LOG]

It's almost time for school! Time for the yearly trip back to Diagon Alley. New books, potion ingredients, and robe fittings? Absolutely. First years? Go get your wands. More importantly, now's the time to catch up with old friends and see how they've been over the summer.

If it's your first time to Diagon Alley, maybe you can catch someone heading in to show you the way? Don't worry, there's always a helpful witch or wizard about to guide the Muggleborns to the right location if they get a little lost!

It's not really supposed to be, dude. [Soos, of course, has been wandering around the streets in his spare time. Seems he's in a conversational mood, and it's lucky that somebody was just talking to themselves! So of course he walks up right next to Aladdin, finishing off some sweet of some sort.]

Pretty sure anything more exciting than a cat is not really fit for living at the dorms.

I guess you're right. I just always thought this place would have some things that are more out-there, you know? Magical and all that.

But it's not a big deal. How've you been?

Well, there are classes and all for that, dude. Wouldn't do a whole lot of good to bring a Hippogriff or something like that inside.

What, me? Dude, I've been fine, but the summer was boring, y'know?

I guess you're right. I wasn't thinking something as big as a Hippogriff, though. Although if that was an option, I'd probably look into it.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Outside of school, things are just... Always the same.

So, what, you'd want a tiny dragon? Actually, that would be pretty cool.

Pretty much. I was working in Hogsmeade for a while, nothing spectacular.

Yeah, that sounds like it'd be perfect.

Hogsmeade, huh? Any particular shop?

[incaseofpinata]

I know, right? Until it started growing and then you'd have to figure out how to keep it around without setting the entire place on fire.

Uh... d'you know that super hokey Mystery Shack that popped up a while back? That's where I'm at.

I'm sure there's a spell for that, right? Fire-proofing dragons? There should be.

Hmmm, yeah, I've heard of that place. Well, I hope they're not working you too hard there.

If there is, I don't know it. [A non-committal shrug.]

Pssh. It's pretty easy. I just clean stuff up, fix what's broken, and occasionally lead tours.
